How I finally got rid of my unwanted finger wart

pinky finger wart
Warts can be a real pain to get rid of depending on where they are located. They commonly appear on your hands and feet, but they can appear anywhere on the body. The hardest wart I had to deal with was a finger wart that popped up on my pinky. This is how I tried to remove it along with the problems that I ran into.

When it comes to wart removal, there are really only three choices: freeze it, burn it, or cut it off. Cutting it off was out of the question because I couldn't afford a doctor's visit. I didn't have the money and the health insurance to cover that.

Freezing it seems like it would work, but I did a lot of reading over many reviews and most of them said that it was a very painful procedure. I'm talking about freezing it at home using DIY kits purchased from the store.

With surgery and freezing gone from my list of options, I turned to burning. The first image of burning when I read about it was flames (as in setting it on fire). Fortunately it isn't as extreme as that. It's doesn't even have anything to do with heat. When they say burn, they mean chemical burn; burning the wart with some type of acid. The most popular and often doctor recommended is salicylic acid. This is the active ingredient in all the wart treatments you can buy from the store.

Application is simple and all you really have to do is apply the acid over your wart with the supplied brush. Let it sit there and do its job. Repeat this several times a day until the wart turns black.

A wart turning black is the sign that the treatment is working. I found that the wart and the skin surrounding the treatment area were quite sensitive to the touch. It wasn't painful or unbearable or anything like that though. I let the wart turn black for three days. On the third day, I was able to easily peel off the wart.

This worked for me because I didn't have to keep any treatment on the wart (like the adhesive medicated pads), or duct tape.  My hands were constantly getting wet due to having to wash my hands during the day, cooking, cleaning, etc. I only had to brush on the treatment, leave it on and go do my own thing.

I hope this helped you if you’re looking for similar answers as I once did too. Try it out and see how it works for you.
